buckle my soul
BUCKLE MY SOUL is a feature project based on a doctor I knew as a child. He moved from the Bronx to the rural south in the 1950's and dedicated his life and practice to serving the underprivileged and mostly African-American communities surrounding his clinic. He was an early proponent for civil rights, started the first interracial theater in his area, and adopted five children. In 1976, he was accused of murdering a baby.
